Mandy and Baloo
At our May meeting we had a very interesting talk from Mandy who is a retired Metropolitan Police Dog Handler. She adopted Baloo, a Belgian Malinois, who was tragically injured whilst deployed with Essex police in 2018. Baloo lost a leg and had extensive pelvic injuries. The team Baloo fund was set up in 2020 to support the work that Baloo now does, visiting schools, community projects and organisations.
