- We usually meet on the 2nd Monday of each month
- We take turns to host the meetings
- Members pay £5 each to the host towards the cost of the wine and nibbles (eg cheese and biscuits)
- Hosts can choose a theme for the wines
- We aim to taste 3 wines during the course of the evening
- All wines should be under £10 per bottle if possible
- We discuss each of the wines in terms of what we can detect on
the nose, palette, and how well it finishes - Primarily do we like the wine or not!
- We score each wine out of 10 and the results of our tasting are
written up - A report goes into the newsletter which hopefully may help other members
- As a group is gives us an opportunity to taste wines we may otherwise not have considered and certainly helps us make decisions on other wines to purchase
- All meetings are fun and include a certain amount of chat and banter
